It's a bit early to tell I'm afraid, but I'll keep you updated on the progress.

Idea for mike and ion cannon. A warning if you have friendly ships within blast radius so you have a chance to save them. or a circle for a visual reference to the blast radius

The ion cannon doesn't cause friendly fire, so that shouldn't be a problem. As for the nuke, yeah, there should really be a way to visually observe the blast region. Just haven't figured out how to program it into the game yet.

What if when you press the nuke button, a red outline appears where the nuke will blast, and then you have to say whether you really want to launch or not. So to launch, you have to long press, press the nuclear button, and then select yes or no. This way you would know if a ship is at risk of being nuked on accident.

Just stay at a fair distance and you'll be fine.

I like the circle idea but their ships move to and it would just throw off the purpous of the circle.

The circle idea is pretty much exactly what I was thinking when I suggested it. And I like the having to confirm launch with a yes or no. But their ships moving wouldn't matter, because the circle would move to keep the target in the center. At least that was what I was thinking. Also might help people get more outta nuke by waiting till more ships are within the circle.

.-.
I think that process is too tedious. I just want to go "Pew" and explode a ship (or 2, or 3 or...). I don't want to select a ship, look at a targeting circle, move things away/wait for more targets, and then get a confirmatory popup or whatever, which I then have to press "Yes" on.
Blah.
I think the current system works quite well...anyway after a while you should get a feel for how large the blast radius is.
Also the game pauses when you tap and hold so what do you mean by the ships keep moving? You mean after the firing order is given the circle stays around until the nuke detonates?

No. I think that the circle would only appear during that pause so you could see at that moment (and maybe predict) what ships are in the blast radius.

Ok, how about this: Instead of having the nuke completely destroy everything in its blast radius, why not make the effect weaker as the distance to the center decreases. At least that way you won't lose a complete ship, just because it was a few meters too close...
It would be kinda like when the Crius explodes. Everything in the core region would be fully damaged, everything in the last third of the radius, would be damaged depending on the distance to the center.

Sorry to add another request to your list, but could you implement a mass selection tool? Maybe implement the ability to draw a box that selects all ships inside it. Would be a lot easier to mass move ships this way, instead of one by one or in a formation that takes a time to set up. Hey any news on plausibility of this request. I dont remember if you said it would be added or not

I have already added it to the feature request checklist. The problem is that I get more requests than I can actually handle. This is one of the features which actually requires a lot of work. There are also several points to consider, e.g. what should happen if you select ships that are part of a formation, what actions should be enabled / disabled, etc.? Further, you would have to calculate the "center of mass" for all ships, so you can rearrange them relative to it, once a move command is issued. And there is a lot more... I'm not saying that it is impossible, but it would require a lot of time, which could be spent on the implementation of several other features.
Maybe in the future I will add a "duration" column next to the feature requests, then we can vote for and schedule certain feature requests. That way the most popular requests will be processed first.
