So I was thinking and I haven't seen anyone post something about this. I think Multiplayer/ PVP could be a long term project which could get more people into the game.
Simple Ideas:
This could be possible using Game Center or just Wifi.
Allow a setting that states how much the match will allow in terms of money. So that it limits the addons and ships for more strategic gameplay.
There would have to be boundaries so that a player can't just fly off into the unknown.
So ya, this was mainly to see what your thoughts are on this. It would be great what other ideas might come of it.
While typing this up I got thinking. What would everyone's thoughts on a Co-op Survival.
So there are two questions on the field. 1) What does everyone think about Multiplayer. 2) what does everyone think about Co-op Survival?

Actually this has been suggested my me before lol. It's in the IAP Thread. But we need a lot more players before multiplayer can be successful. Since this game is a RTS

Co-op survival would be cool but yeah needs more people otherwise the few of us would have to schedule matches on here lol

Haha yeah. How about an "Endless Survival" mode where your score is recorded and posted on Game Centre for people to beat?
Not really multiplayer per-se but I think it would be fun ^.^

Hm, multiplayer would be quiet a project and definitely needs more players first. Game Center on the other hand should be doable.
The only concern I have with an endless survival mode, is the fact that the game cannot be saved. If we make this mode increasingly difficult as it goes, say that it's almost impossible to survive after half an hour, then this should be totally fine.
Also (additionally): What about a "fastest kill" mode, where the duration for eliminating the enemy is recorded?

Fastest kill would be awesome and could be separated into different group by fastest kill with a different difficulty level.

Well only issue with endless survival is that if you just keep flying in one direction the enemy ships won't be able to swarm you and you would have plenty of time to repair

well it would/should change that when you switch the difficulty to higher, enemy units spawn faster per higher ranking? That would help offset that extra time to repair.

Well faster respawn time might balance it out but the distance from the mastermind is the key issue since the stronger the ships the slower it is.

yea that can always be offset by a fighter or some scout ships if that cloak update and speed update goes into effect.

Post our quickest times for completing missions. In seperate threads for each mission. Or setting gamecentre up would be good either be ranked on score or time to completion.
