When you are playing survival, you can simply cruise your Odysseus away from the map and move it away from everything until your time runs out and you can move on. You don't even have to battle things =P

Well, nevertheless, it's a valid point. Maybe the cruise engines should remain offline in "Survival Mode".

But even if you do that your slower ships such as the aegeon, cerberus, crius and hydra may be open to attack from carriers and their faster ships.

In "survival mode", you don't lose ships. You only have to keep the mothership alive. Once you complete a level, destroyed ships are replaced.

That would be a lot of lost credits to replace ships at the end of Survival lol.
