Over the past few month a lot of new features have been added to Space Borders: Alien Encounter and I'm really grateful for all your support, contributions and patience.
Right now, there are a lot of ideas for new features, but needless to say: it's almost impossible to include all of them. With v2.1 coming up, I'd very much like to add one big new feature, something which might give the game more depth. One of the things, I've been postponing for quiet some time, is the addition of "Game Center", but this isn't really a "big thing". The other thing is "Conquest Mode". "Conquest Mode" would be a lot of work, but it would also give the game a lot of depth!
So here are the options:
1 - Add "Game Center" and implement a few extra features.
2 - Implement "Conquest Mode" and only "Conquest Mode".
So what is "Conquest Mode"? Well, I think I've mentioned it before somewhere, but for the sake of completeness, I'll explain it again here and in more detail.
Basically "Conquest Mode" would be unlocked once you have completed the campaign. You would tap the "Conquest Mode" button which would then show a map of sectors, most of which are under alien control (initially). Your objective would be to drive out the aliens from these sectors (which were once under EDF influence). The whole thing would be turn based.
When it is your move, you are allowed to move your fleet (the one you build up during the campaign), from one sector to another and you may "configure" a sector which is under your influence (add more defenses to it). When you move your fleet into enemy territory, then this would be an attack, meaning that you would have to destroy the enemy, perhaps also some alien stations. When you move your fleet to another friendly sector, then this sector becomes more reinforced, in the case of an alien attack. When the enemy attacks you (it's their turn), their forces are weaker than when you attack them. If your fleet happens to not be in the attacked sector, then you must defend the sector with defenses you have "configured" the sector with. The closer you come to the alien homeworld, the more difficult the battles will get. The alien homeworld itself would always remain under alien control, leaving the game "open".
Well, these are the two options. So what do you think?
