I've seen that there aren't many ships in the "utility class". So I describe some ships. Recon Ship: Fast vessel similar to stealth bomber. It's a little bit slower than the Basic light fighter, But the armor is very weak, and it hasn't any defensive turrets. (But there can be a small turret, capable to destroy a few aliens)
I'm not Sure of this one: neutralizing ship A ship armed with an electric cannon that doesn't deal any damage, but freezes the systems of the ship for a while (it should deactivate the cannons and the engines of the ships)
Please note that this is pure imagination. I don't think they can really enter the game. Maybe these Ideas could be improved by others.

If you dock it woth the mothership even for a second it gets its turret back and the mothership repairs docked support ships. Saves ore

Ok, so the current "Gladiator" class ships will be modified in a way that will make it similar to the recon ship you describe here. It will be given a temporary cloaking ability. Sure it won't be as fast as the fighter, but then again, uncovering the enemy ships shouldn't be too easy. The neutralizing ship kinda reminds me of the microwave tank in C&C (I think it was called that). Anyway, sounds like a good idea. Do you have any details, like: how long the effect should last, how long it would require to recharge, etc?

I didn't think this, and I don't exactly know the specific speed and armor values of the ships, but I can try The neutralizing ship should have a recharge time similar to the nuke launcher of the centaur. The "neutralizer" should be a rocket launcher, and it shouldn't have any effects, but when the missile hits the ships, it'll have some lighting on it, and maybe you can do some animations (engines off, ship getting darker). The cloaking ability of the Recon ship should be slightly faster than the Ion Cannon (it's the only ability I know). But It could be similar to the reload time of the other ships' abilities. This cloaking ability should make the ship a little bit transparent, or there should appear an icon when the ship is cloaked. P.S. I like the gladiator as recon ship, cause it can have a good utility. You can install a thing similar to a engine replacing the turret, that gives the cloak ability

Ok, that can be done. I will add it to the feature requests checklist now. Once I'm done with "Conquest Mode", I'll start processing feature requests again. Thanks for your input!

Yeah, of course the cloak has been discussed in length. I was just asking about the EMP (neutralizing) weapon.
