Wait so the intro ayes whenever you enter conquest mode?
...
That's annoying, TBH.
Also, I personally find the conquest mode map a bit too sparkly. Maybe cut down a bit on the stars in the background?

Oh I see why the intro kept playing now.
When you only have Terra Prime under your control, the game plays the intro.

Yeah, exactly! Once you conquer anything else, the intro is disabled. Thought that most players would conquer Agavan right from the beginning anyway. PS: Sure, the number of stars can be reduced easily.

Just played an escort mission.
Pretty good, I must say.
One small issue: the description of the Comm Link. It says that only one of its kind exists, which is clearly untrue given that there's on in the mission Outer Border and one in the escort mission.

Glad you like it. Yeah, the Comm Link still has the original description. For the CM universe it could be overridden though.

Oh and also this version actually fixes a bug with the audio engine. I'm sure most of you have experienced some brief mutes every now and then, especially when there was a lot going on. This should not happen anymore.

A couple issues:
1. The Strategic View is still unresponsive sometimes, even without the Purple Suns and Green Flabbers.
2. The Deladus is ridiculously squishy. 1500 health is really really low.
3. I feel that the recharge for the Base Scan is too long.

Another issue:
Nav Beacons. Y U BUILD SO SLOWLY?

1 - Hm, about the strategic view, have to check what else can be done to make it more responsive. 2 - The Daedalus' health could be increased to say 2500. I simply don't want it to exceed the health of the Crius (which is 4000 by default), since it is not an actual combat vessel. 3 - The base scan currently requires 10 minutes. What would be a reasonable recharge time in your opinion? 4 - The Hercules constructs structures in ~6 minutes. For the HQ this is acceptable I guess, but you're right, the nav beacons should be constructed much faster. 2 minutes perhaps? UPDATE: Found an elegant way to fix the strategic view issue.

For the Deladus health, maybe 3000?
I just lost it within 5 seconds during an assault because I was off looking for a Mastermind and didn't notice a corvette and a fighter sneaking up on the rear of my formation. A tad too fast I think. A huge, unarmed and important ship like that would logically have enough armour to sustain some hits so it can hold out long enough for help to arrive.
Base scan takes 10 minutes? No wonder I can take down two factories (in the beginning stages) before it recharges. Maybe a 5 or 6 minute cooldown? The normal scan just takes 1.5 mins after all...
2-3 min construction for Nav Beacons sounds good.

Just played a Behemoth mission. Quite challenging, I must say. I ended up ignoring the freighters after picking two up, and just sending in the Behemoth backed up by WeldMasters, leaving the other ships to guard the two freighters I rescued.
You misspelled "freighter" on the briefing screen BTW.

Oh, also I experienced a pretty large slowdown when playing a base destruction mission.
All the projectiles and my 48 fighters flying around slowed my game down until the frame rate was maybe 15-20 (just my estimation). I switched on dynamic mode, and it helped a bit but there was still noticeable slowdown.
Could just be my device borking, or the ridiculous number of fighters, but I figured you would want to know.

The normal (desired) frame rate is 60 fps. A drop to 15-20 fps would mean that it ran at only 25-33% of the normal speed, which would be pretty terrible. Hm, I believe it's best if I released another beta which fixes all the bugs mentioned here and adds an FPS counter somewhere on the display. Also, from what I remember you have an iPhone 4S, which means that the iPod touch 4G and iPhone 4 would take a significantly greater performance hit.

Why do you lose the sector when you fail an escort mission?
