Does conquest Mode have an ending?

I’ve beaten the beasts a few times, collected the reward and have a behemoth. Now the alien fleet has wormholes and are trying to take my conquests back, but I’ve spread out my resources evenly so the simulation usually wins in my favor, or it just weakens the sector and I just add it back in next turn. Rinse and repeat many times. I’ve been a fan since the game released playing on my iPod touch, now playing on a iPhone 12. Still fun.
