maybe we could add something like a tractor beam turret? You know, a turret that fires a beam that can hold an enemy ship in place and push and pull it around and such. It could work something like this: The tractor beam gladiator/centaur's weapon has it's range (of course). When it enters range the beam fires and the enemy ship is immediately immobilized, though its weapons can still fire. The tractor beam gladiator/centaur would then have to move itself in order to move its trapped prey, so there is always a fixed distance between the firing ship and the target. It could be used to keep pesky alien ships away from your more helpless ships or push and pull them towards your heavily armed capital ships. I imagine such a ship would have to be pretty pricey though. This could be the first time a lowly Gladiator outstrips one of its larger counterparts in price.

I like the railgun idea. It could be like the missile in that it only targets capital ships, but instead of doing splash damage, it could do linear damage. So It not only damages the target its aimed at but it goes through and damages anything that's in it's path, and keeps on going after hitting its main target and continues to do damage to anything it hits.

Hm, all interesting ideas. We really have to start a poll soon, but initially we'll have to focus on alien turrets.

Start the poll in 1-2 days. Once we have the three or so then you can make polls on what features wed like added to those three (if applicable) for example if we vote for alien weaponry you make another poll of what types of weapons you like then we vote on those

By the beast having a super weapon, I meant to say that maybe there could be a bonus level where your main fleet could challenge a beast with a secret super weapon that only reveals itself when the beast is at 50% health (making it harder as you go along).

OK, we all agree that there have to be some new weapons, especially for the aliens. So, are there any ideas of (perhaps) a new and different weapon, e.g. a weak long range weapon or something similar? Also, I've considered adding some new upgraded turrets for the Terran faction, if a ship reaches the highest rank. Like more powerful mini gun ammo, stronger missile types, dual plasma / laser (as you have mentioned).  Yea I had that idea in a post way back. I'll link it once I find the thing. Lol with there was a easier way of finding things one posts.

Yeah, true. There are several duplicates all over the forum. This is why I wanted every feature request to be posted on the wiki page.
