OK, so before we can start an actual poll, I believe it is important to think about which units these changes should apply to:
Is the overall game too slow, or will increasing the speed of certain units do the trick?
- Turrets (rotation) - Projectiles - Blobs - Fighters - Support ships - Capital ships
Personally, I believe it would make sense to increase the speed of all "garage ships", alien corvettes, destroyers & battlecruisers.
Just tell me what you think. Which types of ships or objects should receive an increased speed? Please try to keep in mind that increasing the speed of already fast moving ships (like the Terran fighter), will make them harder to hit with the same old projectiles and turrets.

Capital ships need to be quicker. Some of the Enemy carriers are really quick. Missiles could do with being like a vls that can launch any direction save having to wait ages for the turret to turn around. An the miniguns could do with turning quicker too.

Speed boosts to everything would be nice. And a 3-4x speed boost would be nice

I agree with joe, laser, flak, and minigun turret rotate quicker.

Meh give all the capital ships a 3-5m/s boost or so and it'll be all good.
Also if you can get a 4x or 8x time mode that'll help a lot.

OK, Capital ships definitely need to be faster, but we have to be very careful which should be changed and by how much. It's probably best if all changes are made by applying one and the same factor to acceleration, forward velocity and rotation. My greatest fear is that changing the speed might affect some of the missions. Let's take "Fragmentation" for example, which is critically timed by the arrival of the alien ships from the east side. In Starport One, the first part depends on saving the Hercules from the alien destroyer that is chasing it and the time it requires to reach the portal. In Outer Border, the Athena and Titan both go for the portal, once they go through, the alien attack is triggered. Here are the current maximum speeds (m/s @ level 1 rank): > Changes might cause docking issues, but I guess there's no way around it. Odysseus - 15.0 > Should be changed. OreMaster - 22.0 Crius - 24.0 Hydra - 21.0 Cerberus - 18.0 Aegaeon - 12.0 Behemoth - 12.0 A. Corvette - 24.0 A. Destroyer - 19.5 A. Battlecruiser - 16.5 > Mission ships, have to be careful with those! Hercules - 12.0 Athena - 15.0 Titan - 15.0 > Fast enough! Gladiator - 60.0 Centaur - 42.0 A. Fighter - 90.0 A. Carrier - 60.0 ==> How about increasing the speed by 25%. This would for example increase the Crius speed from 24.0m/s to 30.0m/s and as one of the slowest ships, the Behemoth would move at 15.0m/s rather than 12m/s. Please let me know what you think. Also, I'd like to hear if you have any ideas concerning the mission related ships. Thanks. I don't want to touch turrets right now, could really screw up the game balance.

Also, yeah, there can be a faster time multiplier. The only question is, how are we going to integrate it? How about adding a new setting that allows you to choose 2x, 4x or 8x, so whenever you tap the in-game multiplier button it increases the speed accordingly?

OK, have successfully added the time multiplier selection to the settings menu. 8X seems a bit extreme, you can't really see what's going on in battles. How about 2X, 3X, 4X and 5X?

Not too many please. It will be annoying to swap time modes if we have to tap over and over.
I want 8x or higher mainly for mining.

Don't worry about that. The button will still toggle between normal speed and fast speed, but you can set the fast speed up from within the settings menu.

Or once all enemies are destroyed the game could automatically go to 8x and while we're playing have the speed go up to 6x. Have 2x 4x an 6x

OK, have updated all EDF capital ships. Everything seems to be in order, have to run more tests on mothership docking though. Once that is done, v2.1.1 will be submitted and after that we can finally discuss new features.

Could you put alien factories back into survival and DSM to increase the difficulty? I may be the only one with a behemoth at this point and with just masterminds its to easy :/
