So I'm steadily working on the UI, simplifying it mostly. Here are some pics.

...not only has the look improved, but also the mechanics. New turret system features: - No more turret "inventory". - Simply increase turret count per type (6 maximum per normal turret, 4 for antimatter, 2 for mass driver). - No more tedious turret mounting, select one type of a turret and quickly mount it to as many mounting points as you want. What I would also like to update, is the main in-game UI. For starters, I would like to get rid of the harvester and fighter buttons at the top. The question is how? The first idea that came to mind, was to use the long press menu to directly start the harvester / fighter. The only problem however, would be the missing health and ammo / cargo information, which in my opinion is very useful. Anyway, it just seems like such a waste to have two entire buttons devoted to just the tac. fighter and the mini harvester. Any suggestions? Attachments:

Well since nothing comes to mind of what replaces them, then no i vote for them to stay at the top unless something else can replace it then i may say yes. Also my opinion on the new UI Looks great from the menu screen, a little less detailed but great!
Also the new laser looks like a film real which is kinda funny. Also where it says turret, it has a picture of the old plasma turret.

For fighter and collecter icons, I would think maybe putting their buttons on the side instead of where they are at now if your dead set on moving them, but speaking of fighters, would it be possible to add additional fighters to the MS as an upgrade? Like being able to purchase up to 3 fighters to fly in formation to attack?
But like you, I rather like the way the buttons are set up atm. It's really useful to be able to see the collectors and fighters health.

Nice. I really like that symbol for settings, no idea why. Maybe add a bit of a border around the buttons though? Right now they kinda blend into the background.
If you really want to remove the fighter and harvester buttons, why not use the long press menu to directly start the harvester/fighter, and then have a small tab appear at the side showing the harvester/fighter's health and load (like the ability cooldown timers that appear at the left side of the screen).

Been working on further performance improvements all day long. The game now runs as smooth as butter. Border problem taken care of. As for the harvester & fighter button, that's actually a pretty good idea. Since the side bar is already pretty crowded, it's probably best if we removed the black hole power, together with its timer completely. It doesn't make much sense to have a timer anyway, especially since you can use it only once.

See, there is no other unit capable of performing a long range attack like that, only special powers and the artillery. The artillery gets very weak at great distances though. Taking out the masterminds would become a cakewalk.

yeah the black hole timer is a bit useless like you said but i would like to keep the black hole as a weapon, it can be a life saver in very dire situations.

looking good so far! do you have an estimated time before the update is released? or better yet submitted? (since apple takes an unpredictable amount of time)
