I'm now replaying through all the campaign missions now that the new update has been released. I need to anyways because I lost my game and ALL my data. My beautiful fleet is gone But hopefully I'll be able to get everything back soon. Anyways after playing through Training Day here are my comments: The mission is absolutely beautiful. I love the new space station design, the ships everwhere, the turrets and convoys and everything. It really feels like an EDF base now. I think it was really cool how you had us gamers name the ships on FB (Cerberus USS Constitution is proudly christened by me ). I'd love to see some of these ships make a comeback later in the campaign. The tutorial itself has been improved very much. The tutorial mission, despite being a tutorial, fits very nicely into the overall story arc of the campaign. The various tasks and instructions seem a lot smoother and better implemented in order to teach the player how to play. I noticed that by the time of the tutorial, the EDF has already been at war with the Aliens, which is a nice way to make room for the prequel (which I really hope will center on Odysseus's sister ship Zeus and the former ship of Commander Haggas, Artemis). I did not notice any bugs. Just one thing was that on the strategic map, the list of units on the right hand side no longer listed objects such as resource astroids and tac fighters and such. I very much prefer them remaining on the list and easier to find and track on the strategic map. Another thing was that I noticed that now in order to dock ships, you have to actually long press on the mothership in order for the dock option to become available, instead of long pressing anywhere on the screen and being able to dock your ships. I would prefer having the option of being able to dock any support ships to the mothership by default if I long press anywhere on the map and press dock, unless I explicitly long press onto some other dockable ship. These things are minor however, and I'm REALLY looking forward to completing the rest of the campaign.

Evacuation & Overload
Basically same stuff applies for these two campaign missions. The only issue I had was a crash while playing Overload just before I completed the mission. The new graphics are absolutely gorgeous!!!
It seems to me that the scale of everything has been made larger. The map sizes seem bigger compared to the ships than they were in the last version, and the weapon engagement ranges seem longer as well. I really like it.
Looking at the hangar I can't wait to outfit the Odysseus with the new turrets. Meanwhile I'm keeping a sharp eye out for that new hidden ship...

wait, hold on, ALL of you data got lost? mine was perfectly fine, except for turrets but i got the compensation for replacing them One thing that really annoys me is that i have to complete EVERY sector in CM instead of just beating the beasts. but thats the only thing to be honest that actually gets under my skin. And its not even that bad I also just LOVE everything in this new update !! everything has gotten SO much better and its finally out! The new ships are just stunning, the new system schemes are amazing, updated training day, ALL OF IT is so amazing! It was totally worth the update wait! Space Borders can you please make it so in the next update you just have to complete the last Sector, or beat the beasts because i dont really have much patience to finish the rest of CM.

I didn't lose my data because of the update, but before it Deep Space Mining & Wastelands Review For DSM I gotta say it's just it's really awesome usual grinding self...except for one thing. I was caught off guard when alien ships spawned in BEHIND me!! I'm pleasantly surprised by the seemingly increase in the variety of my opponents locations. Wastelands was generally it's same self, but I was very pleased to note that the model for Zeus's wreckage was updated to match it's status as Odysseus' sister ship (unlike in the previous update). Of course I also found the...you know what I mean *wink* ;D

Everyone should know where it is due to the clue given in the dialogue, the hybrid centaur. There is another hidden ship somewhere in the game that is completly unique and no one knows where it is.

Starport One and The Offensive
Now the campaign is really heating up! Since I'm merely trying to get through the campaign missions ASAP however, I've only played on Lvl 1 difficulty and thus haven't experienced the full epicness of these two missions yet.
I think the new hidden ship may be in the last three missions...or I may have just missed it.

Reading this thread with great interest. Thanks for the detailed feedback! Glad you are enjoying it so far. - With regards to the strategic view and list. Really thought it was way too crowded, so I removed all the resources, but you can still see them in the map. - To dock a ship, you can also long press the ship itself to do so. Having the dock symbol appear anywhere increases the risk of accidentally docking it, which can be a real pain if the mothership is far away. Good luck with the hidden ship. Please don't mention its whereabouts here. Here is a small hint: It's a rocky path.

As for the hidden ship, I'm going back on all the missions I've completed so far and am scouring the map just in case I missed it. It's driving me crazy! Don't worry I won't say anything about it except that I've found it when I do. Just a couple of things I've noticed as I grinded DSM: In the long-press menu, there's a "move" button. I think it's a little redundant and it'd be very useful to have it changed to a "waypoint" feature, so you can use this to plot a specific course you want your ships to follow. Naturally, I also think having a larger ship limit would be awesome. Also, I've discovered an AMAZING feature: if you long press with two fingers on any ship/station/shipyard/etc. first all the ship's turret health percentages will pop up which will fade away and will be followed by a ship info bubble with the ship name, ship class, and ship health and energy percentages. If the ship doesn't have any turrets it will skip directly to the info bubble. Absolutely wonderful feature. I've noted with interest that the USS Odysseus ship class is listed as the "Sovereign" class. Does this mean that there's a third sister ship, the lead ship of the class named Sovereign? Also, the Titan is listed as a "Titanic" class and the Athena as an "Olympic" class. Very cool.
