Today I read an interesting review, suggesting that ships that have been destroyed in a mission, should remain in your inventory. Initially this seemed odd, but when thinking about it, it actually makes sense. Who is willing to sacrifice ships, I mean, who doesn't hit restart when ships are lost in a mission? But, if you know that you can still win the battle with the remaining ships and won't have to harvest all the lost resources again...
What do you think? Would this be a positive change, or would it make the game too easy?

Nah. I think there should be a penalty for getting your ships destroyed, and losing them permanently sounds about right.

Good point! The game really just needs an alarm that warns the player about off-screen attacks.

Yea anyways little ships are easy to replace. Not exactly expensive.

Yea farming new resources isnt a pain in the ass if you have the necessary protection but a warning would be helpful since the last couple of times i've been distracted and lost a harvester or two lol

I dont hve the problem o losing harvesters as i kill everything first. Losing ships also means people will play more and try to minimize losses in missions as i i can do every mission without losing anything now

Alright, that settles this matter.

Am I the weird guy who went through and never restarted a mission is a ship was lost? I actually like that fun and would like to suggest you lose the ship permanently, meaning you can just restart and have it back.

Hm that would be a little bit extreme, just imagine you lose the Aegaeon by mistake, ouch.

But the idea of off screen attack alerts is great. Especially on the nuke ship since there is only one level you can get it...

Yeah, I really want to include this feature in the next update. I'm still thinking about the details though. Maybe a small button could popup, which when tapped, will take the camera to the source location.

The size of the button would have to change depending on weather it's an iPad or iPhone won't that be a little tricky?

Has anyone here played the game Red Conquest before? It's another space RTS on iDevices like this one. The way the UI is designed is pretty good, maybe you can adapt it?
