Maybe have to raid a alien station or large alien support ship, medium armaments. To find the co-ordinates of a ship of similar class to the original mothership. Find the ship similar to the original mothership. Taking out any hostiles on the way. And board the human ship re-taking control and return with it to a human base on the far side if the map while being pursued by alien ships. Then defend the ship and station until re-inforcements arrive.

This of course would be in "Beginnings", which will be around four missions long. An interesting idea and new style. What kind of ships would you start with, or would it just be the usual player fleet?

Maybe usual player fleet because those that have a aegeon, 2 cerberus an 2 hydras wont need additional forces. Maybe players with less ships could be loaned a cerberus like the last stand with admiral fords fleet

Or loaned a Hydra and some smaller support ships like 2 or 3. Sounds like a good idea for some more missions. Keep the game going on! Love it.

Ok, before we continue talking about this mission, I need to tell you about "Beginnings" in general: 1 - In the first mission, you engage the aliens for the first time. An Outpost is overrun and you need to investigate and if necessary, use force to maintain control over the sector. This mission has already been completed. 2 - In the second mission (of which I've already written a part), you start with a Gladiator and need to destroy a captured CargoMaster (in order to detonate a powerful bomb which it is carrying), but first you have to sneak through an asteroid field. Later in that mission, the mothership enters the game (player fleet) and you have to recapture a position of strategic importance to the EDF, by eliminating the alien presence. 3 - The mission we are talking about now, is mission no. 3! The story behind it is, that aliens have captured this prototype vessel (in the chaos caused by the invasion) and you have to get it back. 4 - In mission 4 (the last mission), you will use the prototype ship, to hit the bastard aliens hard ! But I'm afraid, the ship will have to be destroyed in that mission as well, perhaps in an act of heroism. Unlike "Alien Encounter", "Beginnings" will give you some support ships right from the start, however, capital ships will only be given to you during missions and will not be purchasable. Also note: You do not get the fleet you have built up in "Alien Encounter", since this is a completely different game/app. And now back to mission 3... ;D Should it be like in mission two; a few support ships to capture and escort the prototype ship to a certain location, after that the remaining fleet comes in (+ a Hydra or Cerberus) and you defend yourself against waves of enemies, finally escaping from or perhaps defeating them... ? -OR- should the whole fleet be there right from the start (+ a Hydra or Cerberus) and you have to fight hard to capture the prototype ship in the first place? What I personally like about the player being assigned a few ships at the beginning, is that s/he has to make the best out of the given units. It's more challenging that way and later (after the fleet comes in) you get to the action anyway. So what do you think? @derezz Thanks, I'll try my best to keep the game alive.

I like the idea of having an set fleet that you start with makes the game more challenging. But some times it's just fun to blast through a mission with a nice fleet. Maybe once all the missions are completed a sandbox type mode could be unlocked and you could buy your own ships to replace the ships that should of been given.

Also I think it would help the game a log if you could maybe get ign to do a review on it or someone that does game reviews on YouTube. That people can see the game played and the up and downs can be pointed out.

Good idea lockon777. Maybe have the third mission. Sneak in if the gladiator is cloaked and take control of maybe 4 captured centaurs and the prototype. Have the prototype have a energy weapon. In the 4thmission, the energy could build up to be fired but it doesnt fire and the energy keeps building up so it is rammed into the alien ship before it explodes too far away o do damage.

Yeah, I've been thinking about submitting the game to several review sites like "Toucharcade", for quiet some time now. Actually one of the reasons I'm trying to improve the overall look of the game (UI, icon), is that these things seem to matter a lot, in fact it says something like "if your app is not totally polished and complete in functionality, don't even bother sending us a request". I really just wanted to make the game ready for what it might be facing and if it still fails, then at least I've tried my best. OK, so concerning mission 3, we could indeed have some ships captured somewhere altogether and you assume command over them, once you break them free (like Joe suggested). Later on the fleet will come in anyway and there will be lots of fighting going on. A sandbox mode is something, I'd prefer to add to "Alien Encounter" and perhaps even more than just a sandbox feature. If I can get "Alien Encounter" to be more popular, I have already planned on something really cool: a turn-based conquest mode (which was also suggested in a review), in which you have to capture/defend sectors. I was thinking about having 50 sectors, some Terran & some alien by default. You would have your main fleet, which can be used for attacks and you could buy equipment for every sector, that would defend it, if your fleet is busy somewhere else. With every turn you can buy new equipment for a sector and make a move with your fleet. Of course there are lots more details to consider, which I'll explain once the time comes. Just wanted to let you know where this game might be heading. ClinkzboneHaha yeah, still remember that!

On sandbox maybe have button to spawn human ships and alien ships. No limit.
