Although CM has not been out for long, I'm already pretty excited to hear about your initial experiences with it. So use this thread to post whatever comes to your mind about CM, in form of text or even screenshots. Also, thanks for supporting Space Borders for all that time! Now, I wish you all an intense alien butt kicking experience. Have fun!

First slightly bad news as I've progressed I've gotten into pretty stacked missions. First the fact that the factories can take 3 missile strikes is ridiculous plus there should be a limit to the amount of alien ships out there. I missed one factory and 5 minutes later 13 carriers were attacking me lol. And I agree with star joker, is there a post where we could read about the Daedalus abilities? I have only figured out the radar and missle strikes so far. Other than that it's amazing. Beautiful backgrounds, love the behemoth, love the Daedalus, and like the turn based system.

Well I know it isn't easy, but try to come up with a strategy that can take out the aliens before they can build those massive amounts of units. There is a unit limit of (if I recall correctly) 200 objects, which includes turrets as well. So a battlecruiser for example would count as 9 objects. Hm the Daedalus, good point, yeah you guys are right there isn't much info about it. So let me give you a brief overview here: 1 - Check the strategic view (tap info) to see the cost of each Daedalus power. 2 - There are six special powers, each of which is indicated on the exterior of the Daedalus. 3 - The indicators can have one of four colors: red, yellow, blue, green. Red means it's unavailable (your attack fleet is not powerful enough, or the Daedalus antenna/radar has been destroyed). Yellow means it's available but recharging. Blue means it's recharging and is the next power to be ready. Green means it's ready. Of course you need to have the necessary resources to use any of them. *** POWERS *** #1 - Repair power (repairs ships near position of application). #2 - Base scan (scans for the nearest enemy base). #3 - Unit scan (reveals the largest nearby cluster of enemies). #4 - HE Missile strike (calls in a missile strike, good against ships and structures). #5 - Cluster strike (calls in a bomber armed with cluster bombs, very powerful against ships & turrets, weak against structures). #6 - H-Bomb strike (very deadly, powerful against everything, careful: friendly fire). Note: The repair power must be focussed on an allied object. Strikes can only be called on capital ships or structures. Hope this helps a little.

Has beaten the game ;D
A single, very helpful tip: Use a good formation. You need to keep your Daedalus and Crius alive (you can afford to lose the Crius if you have to) in order to take down factories easier, so arrange your formation around that objective.

Yep, that's pretty sound advice. The Daedalus and Crius should definitely stay alive for as long as possible. Almost no other ship can provide the same function, which is primarily long range attacks. Another thing I've noticed when playing Conquest Mode, is that I tend to forget about the Daedalus' repair power. It can come in really really handy, when a ship is in a critical situation.

Its logged me out again dammit. Cant remember my password. The daedalus needs more health and maybe 2-4 laser or pulse turrets so it has a little defense. Most offensive missions are not in my favour as the edf fleet is 20% and the aliens 30% I thought i would do a sector at college but the behemoth one takes ages and i dont know what its ability does. Also if the daedalus could be purchased at some point. And my ipod 4 runs this fine. Had 8 carriers and 2 battlecruisers following me on the behemoth level and no problem and the defending a base level had 14 masterminds making ships plus my own fleet and the base and the two cerberus it makes and no problem running it.

It's good to hear that it's running fine on the iPod touch. As for attack fleet strength, make sure you invest your FSP wisely and plan ahead for the next attack. Always attack weaker sectors first and then upgrade the ones that can help you in your next attack. For example, instead of conquering Taskas -> Lunkor -> Tripanon, conquer Taskas -> Vekzak -> Lunkor and then Tripanon, because this will allow Vekzak to support you in an attack against Tripanon. Always invest the FSP in sectors that are 1 or maximum 2 jumps away from the enemy, so the attack fleet will be maximized. It's not useful to have a level 5 fleet somewhere, where it won't be used anyways, so reduce the fleet size in sectors that are more than 2 jumps away from the enemy.

On one of my systems I have 10 fleets, but if I attack the sector in front of it I only get 30% of my fleets and the aliens have so much more when my system has 2x the amount of fleets...why is this?

Check out the "Conquest Mode FAQ" thread, in particular "Attacking". It describes how attack fleet strength is calculated. You can also read about this by tapping the "The EDF is awaiting your attack orders!" message from within the game. Hope this helps.

I have 7 sectors now. Will we be able to buy a daedalus at some point because it mines really quicky. And from a distance. Maybe add 2 more capital ship slots so people can have offensive ships and ships like the daedalus.
