After thinking for quiet some time, I've decided that it would be best if resources would be needed during missions, not only after them. So far, all you had to do is defeat the enemy and then collect all the resources.
Resources will have a new meaning in future versions of Space Borders. The fighters of carriers should be replaced at a slight cost (10 - 20 credits / fighter). Repair ships/turrets should require some of the resources for repairs (1 credit / 15 repair points).
I'd very much like your input on that. This is a pretty big decision, but I'm very positive that it will give the game a lot more depth. What do you think?

If you're gonna do that how about giving the player a some starting credits? Maybe 1.5k?
That way if they lose the harvester (assuming no OreMaster) they would at least be able to replace it even if they've lost a few fighters and use the healing turret for a while.

Good point, a base amount of resources would help a lot, given the new circumstances. Also, the Hydra should have a hold fire button, in order to avoid losing all its fighters in a desperate situation.
PS: Just repaired a heavily damaged Hydra (<25% health), only cost ~300 credits. At a cost of 20cr/fighter you could replace all hydra fighters for only 160cr.

That would be a good option for the resources. Gotta keep it reasonable for the repair and build credits for fighters and harvesters since they are so small lol.
The Hydra stop attack option is good too since they just go all willy-nilly when they get close enough to launch fighters.

I think that If healing cost money then resources would have to be Eazyer to come by. Since ships are bound to be damaged during a mission and I personally don't really collect all the resources unless it's on deep space mining.

Personally I think that giving the mother ships more equiptments and upgrades seems more worth while. Since you only have one and those über op battle cruisers are kicking my but all over space lol.

Battlecruisers are easy to deal with if you spot them early. Try using the scanner to spot, then deploy mines and blast them with artillery. Flares and artillery overload work too. This way when they come into your ships' weapons range they'll be much easier to kill.
Also use the nuke centaur.

I use the crap out of the Nuke Centaur. Plus a lot of scanning, flares and deploying of automated turrets for more misdirection.

Haha apparently the quad hydra formation is starting to become really famous among players. It's only fair that the game charges a few credits for maintaining those beasts. lockon777You will only be charged very little resources for repairs (only when using repair ships) and for fighter replacements. Having the player require to harvest resources during missions, adds some depth (strategy) to the game. Btw. is the volume control working like you wanted it to? Also, didn't you want to try beta testing? If so, just send me your device type, UUID and iOS version, I don't think that a jailbroken device will make problems.

having credits to start off with is a great idea because some missions its difficult to collect resouurces due to the mining ships being destroyed.
