I'm new to the game, playing on iPad2. A few comments:
- The tutorial could be clearer. Most tutorials use hovering buttons to ensure that the person is doing the right thing as they are learning. Instructions like "switch to strategic view and then..." aren't clear unless you memorized what strategic view was the first time. The tutorial also does not (unless I'm mistaken) explain what the computer-chip looking button at the bottom of the screen does.
- It is not obvious that you need to scroll through the list of ships and resources once tapping on the radar by using two fingers. Why not use one finger to scroll? Or at least have a caption that says 'use two fingers to scroll'.
- The game is maddeningly slow at times. A double-speed option would be very welcome.
- I don't know whether there is a bug at the end of the first level, but when it says, "Any ships not docked will be left behind", and you dock the two ships you are given and hyper jump, why do these ships not appear at the start of the next level? I also don't understand the reason for the carrier appearing at the end of that level.
- Why do you have to complete two levels before mining? I can't defeat the first ship on "Overload" because the ships did not carry over from the first level, and you only have enough credits to buy turrets (which are not enough to defeat the ship)...?
- A save function is really needed, given how long it takes to complete a level.
I think this has the ability to be a really good game but is let down by a few small things.
