Well antimatter cannons won't be effective unless you fire at short range. Space might be empty but there is still small amounts of matter out there so the longer the ball of antimatter flies the less antimatter there is. And not to mention you can't controll antimatter with out some kind of field pervent it from touching matter, so firin that stuff in to space could destroy your own ship.

Yep, this is why it would work as described in an earlier post. Well, it won't be added anyway.  Love the name super heated mass driver.  Concerning the matter/antimatter weapon. I think it is quite possible actually, the destructiveness would very much depend on the individual masses. It could be fired in form of a missile, carrying both of them and uniting them on impact or when close to the target (very much like a "photon torpedo" in Star Trek). How the antimatter is stored within the missile is not all that important (force field, specialized magnet, whatever), since it is just a game not a physics tutorial.  Note: If you have ever heard about PET scans (which are highly sophisticated scans to create 3D models of the human body), you might know that these scanners actually do use this technique. They introduce a CT contrast agent into the body, then fire positrons (anti-electrons) at the body. When the electrons from the contrast agent and the positrons collide they result in gamma radiation (yep, not very healthy), which can then be picked up by the scanner. So it really depends on the "dosage".

What about a ship without guns, it could be an artillery ship with tons of artillery or a electric ship that shocks any ship that comes close and has a chance to disable the ship for a time

Hey dev, I know you get tons of requests like this but can we please, please, PLEASE, get more ship slots I really want to have more ships, one way this could be done is have a second mother ship you had to buy and additional ship slots had to be bought to give those of us who play a lot something new to work for. And going of what star said, could we please get a few new ships we can actually buy?  I think the idea of a tesla type ship that star suggested would be cool. A centaur with a mid range tesla coil that can disable ships but has a plasma turret on it? Or an upgraded plasma turret type thing with two barrels, like the Anti Aircraft guns you see on old WWII ships? Or even, a flamethrower ship? A Easter egg polymorph ship lol? A scrap ship that could collect resources from destroyed ships? Or a capital class ship that launches gladiators that are controlled by a npc like the fighters? A MRL turret ship? A ship that can deploy a flare to escape if under attack? Or a drone ship which launches suicide drones to fight dirty like the aliens These are just suggestions but I'd love having more ships! And research to! So we could research to upgrade our ships weapons, like HE missles, HIVE missles, incindnary? Ability to upgrade fighters so that with ever resupply they get a bomb that isn't as powerful as a missle shot from a centaur but more powerful than its standard guns? Or even customizable colors! Sorry for the huge list, I just thought that even a few of these would be awesome! And all you other guys, what do you think? Do any of these sound interesting to you?

Ok for the ability to have more ship slots. That might not be possible because of the demands on the system like CPU and RAM. He might be able to implement, and I would love this, a "off duty hanger" sort of thing so that we can swap out ships and don't lose the levels that have built up. But other than that you have some great ideas there specifically the different ammo types. I would like to see that. Also the bombs on fighters.

OK, that sure is a long list and I must admit, most of the ideas are great. Concerning the extra ships slots, it could be done like Normancon suggested. You would swap ships from the hangar. Right now however, I believe the primary concern should be releasing CM into the App Store. Introducing new ships and features would require additional time for their development and also for testing and CM has been delayed many many times already. Once CM is out there and it's stable (hopefully mostly bug-free), then we can decide on what to do next.

Not sure a scavenging ship would work because then you would have to add all the wreckage and tht would require lot of work. The tesla ship sounds good. Either that or a stun missile or stun beam(like a tractor beam)

I like that tractor beam idea, maybe make it effect small craft and fighters so that the guns can hit them better. Also the salvaging ship. Hmm makes me think of EVE, idk how well that would work with the need for damaging ships. Just another ship in the line up

Well, as Joe pointed out, adding wreckage would indeed be a lot of work both in terms of development (artwork) and for the GPU of the iDevice (more stuff to render). Tractor beam ship might work. We could make it so it decreases the speed of a target, rather than holding it in place. But all of this will definitely be post-CM release.

The tractor beam would have to have substantial range or do some damage if it was to be effective. But having something like that could be cool on a capital class ship, have a big dish type thing that makes a blue field slowing down enemy units in its path? And have the secondary armament plasma or something? And for the wreckage harvester, what if the destroyed ships just left behind a gold asteroid or a crate that your harvesters could harvest? No need for wreckage, and more functions for the ore master  but it's your call. Just suggestions:D

In fact, in addition to what I posted above, if a capital class tractor beam ship was added could it look similiar to the Daedalus class ship? That way we'd get to have some of the new ships added in to CM. (btw, the Daedalus is the coolest looking ship so far ;D)

andersThat's great! All you have to do is add it as an attachment. @all I know the price seems pretty high, but believe me, once you beat CM and have access to the homeworld, it's not a big deal anymore. I intentionally made it almost impossible for players to buy the Behemoth before completing CM, because it would just make it too easy.
