I recently bought an iPad Air (the newest version of the iPad) and was trying to play Space Borders but the UI is annoyingly unresponsive. For instance, when I tap on a ship, sometimes it will not select the ship. I have to tap multiple times and then eventually it may select it. And even after selecting it, the long tap to bring up the menu to give the ship orders will not pop up sometimes. This behavior doesn't occur just with the ships, some of the buttons on the UI, such as the Star button to deselect the currently selected ship, are not responsive and require multiple taps and such. I have the latest version of Space Borders (v2.1.3). Unfortunately, I'm not sure if this is a recent issue with the latest version of the app. I've only tried playing the game with v2.1.3.
I also have an iPhone 5 with the latest version of Space Borders (v2.1.3) and on the iPhone, this behavior does not occur. When I tap something, it gets selected. When I long tap, the menu comes up. It reacts as expected and is very responsive.

Thanks for reporting this issue. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test Space Borders on an iPad Air. With the increasing variety of devices, it's getting more and more difficult to keep the game fully compatible with all of them. As soon as my Mac is fixed, I'll try to get a hold of an iPad Air for testing. Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks again for reporting.

I concur, the game is unusable on the air, I cannot accomplish anything because the tap interface is not working at all.

A bit late, but I believe I have found the cause of the issue and will release a fix very soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes, the most annoying is the star because when you tap to start artillery your previously selected ship will go "roger that" and attack it.
