Before you ask yes i know that the prequel is a little ways away and we may not get to it till next year that with it getting last place in the poll BUT we might as well put down a few ideas so we can store them for later when the game is being worked on!!
FIRST: we need the next (or should i say previous) generation base model SHIPS! but that can be done either by yann or space borders himself! but one other thing is new abilities and new weapons! but it is a prequel so our ideas are a little limited.
NEXT: MISSIONS!! we need the stuffing of this amazing cake, and that will be the missions! we NEED a story line but that can be hard to do since the story really begins at evacuation and it seems like it JUST started there. so we need to go back further and think of ideas for a story line. who is in the story? what is it about?
FINALLY: we need the frosting on this cake, which will be secondary ideas. what could go in or out during missions to make them higher quality and better or after the new campaign is complete we can make another conquest! (maybe not) or survival, or DSM or NEW modes which will separate this game from alien encounter by more
If yall own any fresh new ideas then just post it. by ideas, this game is still staying alive

Ideas for New capital ships.
Helios- equiped with two long range laser cannons used for hitting capital ships weak fighting against small fighters and close range. does decent damage to hulls. Fires 1 laser every 3 seconds and auto fires. 2 Chariot cannons(customer name) 1 Flak cannon. Ability Discharge (slows Ship down and speeds up reload/fire rate of laser ship must remain stationary)
Hades Equiped with 8 miniguns 4 lasers and an a regen shield for added protection
Medusa- Fires or has an ability that shoots an EMP that temporary disables nearby ships and cannons.weak against fighters and capital ships equiped with 4 plasma cannons and 2 miniguns. Ability EMP
Posideon- Fires something like a mass driver AOE that is good against Capitals when paired with Medusa is terrifying for aliens who stand in your way. Equiped with 3 Hydron Repulsers(like his trident) (name of cannons) 2 Flak cannons and 1 Laser Ability overload.
Hephaestus- A Ship that can Auto repair nearby ships simultaneously and repair for 5k resources nearby friendly ships for 3-5k. Has defensive abilities to fight off fighters. Weak against capital ships. Has 4 Miniguns 2 nano cannons and ability of Mass repair.
New frigate class ships Legionarie Slightly bigger than a Centeuir has 6 cannons instead of 2 and wider and more durable. 2 at a time can be kept oboard ships hanger.
Justicar Equiped with 4 cannons slightly bigger than a Centeuir weaker than a Legionarie comes equip with Light arm warheads can fire missiles at nearby targets while bombarding with cannons. Strength of warheads and cannons come at varying degrees based on upgrades.
Hyperion class frigate Equiped with 2 cannons less durable than a Centeuir equiped with a mass acceleration thrower.(Can use MAC cannon name cuz take by bungie and halo.) can be disadvantage ship must stop and turn and face enemy ship and charge MAT cannon all guns go offline and then fire at enemies does great damage to capital ships. Take 10minutes to recharge cannons 5 shots of cannon can destroy a battlecruiser.
Adding a short jump ability to mothership allowing the ship to jump short distances to flee enemies can be used per mission.
Adding more armor/ shield upgrades as well as hanger upgrades for more ship capacity.
Adding a foundry feature as well and upgrading it will allow access to better weapons upgrades and ships and determine profiecy of crew adding officers as well would be nice.

believe it or not we had a medusa plan as well its launched 12 fighters and had 4 flak turrets for 2.2!! unfortunately it got scrapped and didnt make it to 2.2!
I have some Base suggestions!
Outpost- Circle shape! Holds 4 turrets probably miniguns and holds 2 small ships inside it for reinforcement!!!
Hercules makes a re-appearence- THIS TIME he can call in backup (one mission only) that costs a bunch of resources if you are in a tight situation AND has the ability to build outposts and loose turrets!
Bomber EDF: same as the fighter but launches anti capital ship bombs that do a substantial amount of damage
Interceptor, Can DESTROY small alien ships very quickly
Megamedic- capital class!! holds 8 repair turrets and does NOT need resources to use but only has 750 health NEW ABILITIES:
EMP: when launched, this thing send an EMP boost disabling all alien ships in range!! (how have we not thought of that before)upgrading increases range and time of effect infinite use (90 second cool-down)
Heal circle: need health?? than this 3 time ability only will refresh you! (90 second refresh) the closer u are to the middle the better the effects. upgrading increases range and now much healing!
I have many alien requests-
Probe- to see where the EDF is
Ion cruiser- Unarmed but does MASSIVE damage from long range using its slow firing non-missing ION cannon!!! only targets medium to capital class ships. Medium class alin vessel
Carrier- [F] Can spawn up to 6 fighters a minute!!! it looks different than all other carriers but it can spawn one hell of a pain!!! 20000 health Super-Heavy class
Dreadnought- has 12 turret slots, spawns scouts (not drones or fighters youll see what the scout is in a second) and an Ion cannon!! (not as powerful as the Ion cruiser) You do NOT wanna mess around with this pride of the alien fleet!! it is a force to be reckoned with, although it has a rare spawn chance AND is twice as slow as the battlecruiser. has about 30000 health or 40000 health light or heavy version! Super heavy class
Scout- less powerful than a fighter and one turret only, these baddies spawn in packs of 5-8 and have 750 to 1000 health H or L. AND can not be targeted by missiles!!! Spawns in packs of 5-8at the light factory
Bomber- Like the fighter, they are many and are super fast!!! these only target capital ships but can be one hell of a problem!!although anti bomb turrets can take the bombs out (which i suggested above) if you have a pack of them on your tail your pretty much screwed as these things have a whopping 5000 to 7500 health each due to their Super massive armor. its one weakness it that a laser can take out its bomb turret quickly then it will be useless. one more thing i would like to add about it! if heavy type, it shoots out Poison bombs, it does a ___ amount of damage per second and lasts for about 10 or 15 seconds! possibly! Medium class ship
(maybe or maybe not ship) IF there were to be an offensive the EDF would make, than these things are appropriate for the aliens!!
turret: like the EDF! the aliens have a way of defence by deploying tactical turrets near a base
Alien reinforcement point(or hyperdrive gate): These things are top priority!! spawning around bases, they are help responsible for new waves of enemy ships to enter the system!! exactly like the mastermind BUT can spawn up to 2 ships instead of one, it also cannot move and is easy to kill. these thing are normally protected by turrets
Dread Titan- The rarest most slowest ship ever has advantages! VERY rare and VERY slow, and VERY vulnerable!! BUT it packs QUITE a damn punch up its sleeve. Like the dreadnaught it has an ion cannon that is half as powerful as the ION dreadnaught. twice as slow as the dreadnaught, has 16 turret slots (not of the same weapon tho) One thing it DOES have is Cruise engines!!! like the USS Odysseus, it can use it but up to a certain point!!! it has 50000 health MAXIMUM and can spawn in up to 12 drones. use bombers or huge capital ships!! Super-heavy class
Super creator- Creates many suicide bots at a time at twice the rate spawns in medium factories. has 3000 health

I Dont like ships being unarmed. It makes little to no sense in my opinion so I try to scale them all to realism.
The justicar ship I keep thinking of a halo frigate that has cannons and missiles but still gets destroyed.
