For some reason I can't even get the app to start on my iPad2. I've tried rebooting the iPad and installing/uninstalling. Works fine on my iPhone 4S. All that happens when I launch it is it shows the spaceyapps page for about a second and then back to the home screen....
Any thoughts?

Weird, I have an iPad 2 also and it works fine. Maybe it's the iPad itself? Sometimes the OS for a specific device will be finicky and not let something work right. If you don't have a lot of stuff on it, maybe a hard reset + re-install might fix it? Other than that I dunno.

Hm, this is really strange. Space Borders has been successfully tested on an iPad2 before release, but the problem might be related to the current version of iOS you are using. I really wish I could give you more helpful advice, but I just can't think of anything that could be causing this problem. If you are interested, I can add your iPad2 to the next beta build. All you'd have to do is PM me the device details as described in the "Beta Testing" section. Hope any of this helped

Thanks for the replies! Unfortunately I do have a ton of stuff on my iPad so I prefer not to do a restore....but I'll definitely try the app again when I do end up restoring at some point. In the meantime I'm sure enjoying the game on the iPhone!
I'll try and get you that info on the beta testing section. I probably should have mentioned neither of my devices is running iOs 6 yet....
Thanks again!

That's probably why you are having issues seeing as how this app was updated in the last couple of months for iOS6 if I'm not mistaken.

It should however work on any device running iOS 4.3 or higher. In fact, the iPad2 on which it has been tested is running iOS 4.3.

Shoots :0( The new update didn't fix the problem with my iPad 2. I so want to play this game on the "big screen!"

Hm, that's bad news. Could you perhaps send me the crash log? This might help in determining the cause of the crash.

Great, it's really easy and it's nicely explained on the following website: www.ondemandworld.com/how-to-find-crash-logs/Simply mail all the files that are located in the folder (explained on the website), that start with "SpaceBorders" to spaceborders@gmail.com. Thanks

Thank you for sending me the crash logs. I have checked several of them and they all appear to be related to one and the same problem, which is accessing files (probably textures) on the hard drive. The exception seems to be raised at the OS level and hence I cannot see the details. After doing some research on the internet, it appears that the crash may very well be related to the version of iOS you are currently using (5.1.1). Apparently certain file names cause it to crash for some reason. The only solution I can think of at this time, is to update to a more recent version of iOS. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for looking into it. I'm not ready to jump on the upgrade bandwagon just yet. I've had my iPad running so smooth for so long right now I don't want to jinx it. Besides, I have a few rather expensive apps that are supposed to be pretty clunky under iOS 6.
Appreciate you taking the time to look.
Is there any way for me to modify the filenames that might be causing the problem?
