Hello, new user here. I wanted to ask how can I finish the mission in which you have to protect the space portal until evacuation is complete. Then the portal autodetructs (I suppose this is a scripted event) and then you are left with the daunting task of "fighting for your life". I exterminated all the aliens and masterminds I could find going all over the map (quite an annoying process due to the slowness of the ships), but it seems I'm stuck... Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks. By the way, this is a great little gem of a strategy game! I left a five star review on the Italian app store.

Hello papicus65,
first of all I'd like to thank you for your kind review. It is people like you have kept this game alive all that time.
Unfortunately Starport One seems to be the most troubling mission of them all. The mission should definitely end when all ships have been destroyed. The most reasonable explanation I can come up with at this time, is that one of the Masterminds went far off the battlefield and produced a rather slow ship (possibly a destroyer) before it was destroyed. It would take considerable time for this ship to intercept one of your ships, but eventually it should arrive. The best you can do is to send out battleships in all directions to decrease the wait time.
I realize how frustrating it can be to play through such a long mission and then get stuck like this. At this point I can only offer my apologies. In the next release the destruction of all masterminds will make remaining ships visible.
Again, thanks for the support and I sincerely hope you can manage to complete the mission without too much trouble.

I have had the same problem, but with the next mission. Targeting the Masterminds with the artillery seems to cause the problem as they just keep going off further into deep space, spawning a slow ship, not visible on the radar, which you have to sit and wait for. Giving all units an outer coordinate limit would help.

Agreed! I will make this my second highest priority.
The problem with constraining the UFOs movement, is selecting the appropriate boundaries. Let's take "The Offensive" for example. It spans over more than 30 unit coordinates in the Y direction. The UFO already maintains a maximum distance of approximately 12 unit coordinates. Even when it goes far off the battlefield, it will have to return to a 12 unit distance from an allied object before it can create a new ship. 12 units aren't much, but when you have already finished off all the other ships and there's nothing else left to do, it would seem like it takes forever. Limiting the UFOs movement too much (independent of the map size), will take away the UFOs only means of survival, since it is incapable of defending itself.
Solution: Children of a destroyed UFO will become visible. -> At least you will know whats happening. The motherships cruise engines allow traveling even greater distances with ease.
What do you think?

Just one. Sorry, meant to say "the mothership's cruise engines" (possessive form).

Do you mean "how many different types", or "how many there are in a particular mission"?

I was wondering the same thing since I just played this mission (without finishing) and I destroyed at least 5 Masterminds and dozens of enemy ships without completing the mission. Plus it seems to me that the enemy destroyer is a bit OP (overpowered). It almost took out the USS Athena chain gun flagship, and the Athena is pretty good against other ships. Hate to sound whiny also but it seems that resources are scarce to get, aside from the gold asteroids lol.

Oh also a suggestion... maybe like the Clash of Clans game where you can migrate game data between two iOS devices like an iPad or iPhone? Maybe add that feature in the next update as well?

I finally nailed the bastard! A suggestion to anyone who has problems with this mission: explore the map and when you see an alien mastermind, do NOT engage it with artillery from the mothership! Just close the distance and attack freely the other alien ships surrounding it. Then, when your fleet is close enough, open up with everything (NOT artillery) on the mastermind; if you do not destroy it, just assign your tactical fighter to attack it and you'll nail it for good.
Wow! This game is awesome. The most fun I had since I bought my new iPad... I almost feel bad because I have downloaded it free... this is a developer to support!

Hello everybody, just wanted to say, I'm using a very similar approach to take out Masterminds. Close engagements, tactical fighter & as Joe suggests: mines! Just don't give it a chance to escape derezz619Yeah the destroyer is pretty powerful and the Athena has only 3000HP (in the Starport mission). The Titan on the other hand has 10000HP and missiles. It's probably best to use it for the destroyers. I'll see what I can do about migrating game data Thanks for playing and for the feedback. PS: If you haven't got an OreMaster, I highly suggest you do. You can harvest resources really fast with it. "Deep Space Mining" + OreMaster = Lots of resources! papicus65I'm really flattered by your compliments, thanks a lot. You shouldn't feel bad for downloading it while it was free. Offering the game for free was my choice and it got more than five times as many reviews & ratings in a week than it did previously in over 9 months, which by itself is a great reward .

Also just found another thing. The auto harvester, or whatever it's called lol, doesn't acknowledge the stop command after the long press. I've tried it a couple different ways and it doesn't stop when told so.
On a positive note... Finally making bank in this game haha!

Yeah, true. The OreMaster automatically searches for nearby resources when it's idle. Since stopping it means changing its state to idle, it will automatically search for resources. Well, it would make more sense if stop prevented it from taking any further action. I'll see what I can do
