Here is the second beta, with lots of improvements. If you have an iPad or 5th+ generation iPod or iPhone, please let me know how the various dialogs look like, e.g. Hangar, Space Dock and the various other dialogs with the black and cyan theme. Thanks. Changes: - New intro "video". - Lots of background images have changed. - New mothership. - Mothership turret limitations removed, but some are locked depending on mission. - Game pauses when mothership turrets are reconfigured. - Improved story (first mission). - Alien assault ships that have lost all their turrets auto-destruct. - New artillery animation. - Gladiator has greatly improved stealth function (longer lasting, can approach enemies very closely without detection). - Many UI improvements (dialogs and in-game UI), making it much better suited for the iPad, iPod5+ and iPhone5+. - Several bug fixes. - Probably many more things I can't remember right now. drive.google.com/file/d/0B7HoTq2dCVCtUWl5VzRTYUdWNzQ/view?usp=sharingdrive.google.com/file/d/0B7HoTq2dCVCtWTBpaGFUX0plc3c/view?usp=sharing

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me: - Did the game crash to the home screen, or did it stop responding? - Was the time multiplier active? This is perhaps the single most likely cause for a crash on older devices. - Did you have other applications running in the background? If yes, try quitting them before playing Space Borders. - Do you remember what kind of CM mission you were playing? Thanks.

i have the speed multiplier active most of the time because it takes ages some missions haha. it crashed to the home screen. i didnt have any apps running in background. i only use my ipod for AE recently because its old. it was a takeover mission in ronas i think. Taking out the factorys reactors and hq.

OK, then I'm not suprised. the 4th gen iPod has fairly limited memory. When you use a high time multiplier, lots of special effects are spawned at the same time. These require large amounts of memory for a short time. If the OS can't provide them, the game may crash. Also the CPU of this device is single core. I have noticed that the OS terminates apps that use excessive CPU time for a prolonged period of time. You may try "dynamic performance mode", it might help, since it reduces effects when the system is under lots of stress. Additionally, the frame rate limiter should help a lot with that as well. Let me know if this problem still occurs even with these settings enabled. Thanks. PS: Perhaps I'll auto reduce special effects on high time multipliers by default in future releases.

Ipad air 2 is running the new graphics and such fine. Thought the game crashed and white screened because of the story line change on the evacuation mission from the planet being blown lol

I thInk in the conquest game mode and perhaps maybe campaign there should be an ability to coordinate or link fire of certain ships. I think for the missile ship and especially if there are multiples of them, it would be easier to have them volley fire at the same time?

I think for the missile ship and especially if there are multiples of them, it would be easier to have them volley fire at the same time? Believe it or not, but I've been thinking about something similar for the past few days. Thought that maybe the Centaur could have that as a special ability, but haven't decided about the specifics yet. Here is what I have in mind: 1 - All Centaurs will receive a "command power" (A), or there will be a new Centaur with this power (B), or one of the existing Centaurs will receive this power exclusively (C). 2 - Either the Centaur relays a target to all nearby friendly units (A), or to all of its wingmen only (B). Let me know what you think, (1A, B or C) and (2A or B)?

definately 1A, 2B because you may not always have the same centaur as the centered ship with wingmen. and would it work with ships set as a wingman to the wingman of the ship sending the command.
wingman - wingman - wingman - ship sending command - wingman - wingman - wingman
