Maybe this isn't a feature request but more of a graphical update.
When you select the option to hyperjump and only the mothership goes, maybe update it to where the capital ship(s), if you have any, have the hyperjump graphical update as well?!
To me it just makes it look better to see that you're not leaving your capital ships behind, even though your actually not lol.

Now I don't know if this is even feasible seeing as how there is already a support structure for the one lone fighter that the mothership has but I was thinking of maybe implementing like an "air" or "space" strike option? Instead of you being able to launch the fighter then issue the one attack command, implement the long press option where you can select bombard (better terminology) but instead of using fighters have 3 either single or dual turret support ships flying in a small delta formation strafe the screen doing minor but helpful "splash" damage with missiles or whatever.
Also to even out the new "support power", it wouldn't have a lock on option, it would have to be used like the Artillery Overload. Have to manually select a target and guess where it was going to end up or pass?!

Sounds good. Actually I think that an option like this should cost the player some in-mission resources. This would also motivate players to harvest resources during combat, rather than after finishing the enemy. Keep the good ideas coming.

Yea exactly. That would offset the extra power the player would receive.

Maybe also this can be tied together somehow with the experience for the ships?

Wait so you call in the "space strike", three ships appear, attack the enemy then disappear?

yea it would be like the cinematic sequences in Command and Conquer, if you are familiar with that game, where you would call in an air strike and a small group of fighter would bomb a small area and then fly off.
My idea would essentially be the same thing but in a smaller area. It would cost resources to offset the extra attack power for that few seconds.

I was just wondering how the small ships would disappear actually...making them suddenly vanish would look odd and they don't have hyperdrives...

yea they could just strafe the screen from one end to the other or fade into the distance or just disappear once they go off the edge of the screen.
It's up to him how to do the graphics for that.

Or instead of having them disappear once they reach the edge of the screen seeing as how someone could just follow them and might glitch them out when they are supposed to leave, they could strafe by and disappear after a certain amount of seconds.
Like I said, it's totally up to him on how to execute this, I was just supplying another idea lol.

I'm sure we will find a good solution to that problem. Maybe the mothership can launch 3 fighters that carry powerful missiles. Once they complete their attack, they can return to the mothership AND for every surviving ship you get a little bonus. Say you spend $1000 on such an attack, then for every surviving fighter you get $250 back. If you manage to bring them all home safely, you end up spending only $250 on the attack.

This isn't so much a feature as a.fix kinda. Why are the maps basically never ending, yet asteroid field (main battle area is only a small portion. The main areas are plenty big. All the extra space outside of that is a waste. It would be better to cut it down a lot. Then only so far masterminds can run, and not so big an area to search for hidden enemies.
Btw really like feature in DSM that gives bonus and let's you know all enemies are dead. I never put premieres out till all are dead.

Just thought of a new feature. It would help during the beginning of a new mission since some of them are hectic right off the bat.
Be able to save a fleet formation and have it be used during each mission. Can either implement it by clicking an icon and selecting the main formation you have so your capital ships or support ships will take position around the mothership (seeing as how its unarmed during the start of each mission) or have the capital ships or support ships automatically take position around the mothership or however you want them to take formation?!
