Oh, that thing.
...I have no profiles button.
A quick google search reveals that this happens when I have NO profiles installed.
What. How did that happen.
Right then, will try reinstalling the profile and see what happens.

Right then, will try reinstalling the profile and see what happens. It's very possible that the "Profiles" section does not appear on a device that has not been directly enabled for the "Developer Program", I'm not sure about this. However, if the profile is old and has expired, this crashing to the home screen behavior is something that you would expect. The safest way would probably to reinstall the app from iTunes by dragging both the app file and the most recent provision profile into it. Do not delete the current app though, as it would result in all the data being erased and a possible bug (in the preferences file) to be overlooked. Before you proceed, you should probably make an iTunes backup, so that the preferences file, as well as your progress are backed up first.

Also here is how you can extract the preferences file. 1 - Download iPhone Backup Viewer (it's free @ ~7MB). There is a Mac and Windows version. - www.imactools.com/iphonebackupviewer/2 - Connect your device to you computer, start iTunes and back up your device. 3 - Open iPhone Backup Viewer, you should see a list of all backups, select the one that matches the current time and date (i.e. the most recent one) by clicking on the "expand" symbol. 4 - You should see a list of all backed up objects, select "Raw Data", then on the right there should be a list, one of the entries is named "com.amasis.spaceborders", click on it. 5 - Finally, below that list there should be another table that contains one file with domain name "AppDomain-com.amasis.spaceborders". Right click on it, then save it somewhere. 6 - You can zip the output folder and send it to me. Lots of steps, but it's actually very very simple. You could probably figure out most of that yourself, but I thought I'd give you a step by step explanation, in case you get stuck somewhere. Thanks a lot.

Ok, tested the file you just sent me and thankfully, it works just fine. This was really the worst case scenario! The reason I thought it might be the cause, is that it's the only thing that changes from every start of the game to the next. Now all I can think of is the provisioning profile, which may have expired. Thanks for sending me the file.

That should explain it:

Just drag this file into iTunes (possibly: along with the app file, not sure). This should fix the problem.

Perhaps in the future we should use TestFlight for testing. Seems much simpler, also automatically forwards crash logs.

Because of the lack of activity, I'm hoping the beta stage is over, and the update will be released soon?

Last update from Space Borders was on the 25th of October, stating that he was working on the App Store screenshots, description, etc. No news since then. The update is more or less ready to go, we're just waiting on Space Borders now.

Sorry for that period of silence. The game has already been submitted to the App Store a few days ago, but I got a little distracted and forgot to make an announcement. We can probably expect it to be released within a week or so. Hopefully there is nothing wrong with it, because after all those changes it's pretty easy to overlook some kind of issue. Again, sorry I didn't make an announcement any sooner.
