I normally send my aegeon in with two laser or plasma centaurs and the aegeon deals with big enemies while the centaurs get the littlepurples or drones.

My fleet... Not all that great since I just got the aegeon and trying to find out the best placement.. Any ideas?

The aegeon has the most armor so it should be used as a spearhead. First into combat to draw the aliens fire with Cerberus's on the side to move up and support quickly if needed.

Also, I keep the mothership in the middle equipped with all spots as repair turrets. No need to keep a mothership actively armed since there are so many other ships to do the fighting. I have no Crius. I stay with the basic, 2 Cerberus, 2 Hydra and the Aegeaon.

Finally got all my capital ships to elite rank. Seems to be harder to get the centaurs leveled up than even the Aegeaon, though.
